At the entrance to the courtyard that leads to the Tarntawan Place, this new coffee bar and eaterie is under the same management, which means it has loads of pedigree. You can enjoy coffee, cake, croissants and drinks from early till late every day, with good-value Thai meals served on weekdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Try the noodles with chicken, pork or beef in soy sauce at 50 Baht, or rice with fried basil, chili, and shrimp or squid for 65 Baht. Breakfasts are available all day at just 140 Baht. Open weekdays (except public holidays) 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Saturdays 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Closed on Sundays.

World food, world music, local art, great atmosphere, great food, good selection of wines to go with it, friendly informal service, relaxed and interesting place for dinner with a group or just for two. Not specifically gay, more "friendly to everybody" but very popular with gays. Prices moderate+. Open for dinner every day from 3:00 PM till 1:00 AM. Easy to get too, enter Soi Phipat from Convent Rd and it is 20 metres down on the left.

Gay friendly French restaurant in a small soi off Soi Convent just opposite Molly Malone's Irish pub. Has outside garden seating, or new lounge area upstairs is air-conditioned. There's also a bar which opens onto the patio/garden, as well as an indoor sitting area for drinks. Prices for the main courses are in the 260-500 baht range. The menu changes every month. Great food, great service, a great place for a romantic night out. Open midday - 1:00 AM Monday - Saturday.
