The Roxy Bar and Club in Silom Soi 4 is primed to change to a full Cabaret show bar. The new concept that includes a dinner Cabaret as well as two evening shows has been in development for some months and is now almost ready for launch. Additional investors are being welcomed to broaden the base and enable the concept to proceed immediately.

Cabaret based nightclubs have existed for approximately twenty-five years in Thailand. Dazzling their audiences with flamboyant costumes, beautiful katoey "vocalists" and high-powered, tightly choreographed, well produced dance numbers, these venues are still one of the highest cash flow businesses in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. While there are many of these successful show bars in Bangkok, there is a curious lack of them in the Silom area. The fact that many Soi 4 tourists, when asked, say they are looking for a show, indicates that there is a huge opportunity to create a successful venue which caters to this group. People, particularly tourists, expect to be entertained in Bangkok.

The Roxy is currently running as an up market bar with dining facilities and the recent introduction of limited live entertainment three days a week, which has grown in popularity since its inception. The Roxy will be transformed into a full fledged cabaret show bar, with 3 shows a night, performed by its own team of dancers and performers. Indeed, The Roxy is already establishing itself as an entertainment venue, being the only bar on Soi 4 that has performing staff.
