'Turning Back the Tide - Addressing the Rises in HIV Infections in Major Gay Communities' workshop announced.
Tuesday, May 25, 2004

Rises in HIV infections in the world's gay communities have now been reported in major cities on all continents. HIV community organisations are grappling with developing effective responses - but with minimal opportunity for discussion with colleagues facing similar challenges in other cities. This all-day workshop is intended to provide a forum for sharing experiences and learning about responses planned, developed and/or implemented - and their outcomes so far.

This full-day Pre-World AIDS Conference Satellite workshop, to be held at the Amari Watergate Hotel, 847 Phetchaburi Road, Bangkok on Saturday, July 10th, 2004 from 10.30 am - 4.30 pm, has been organised by an international partnership of four community-based HIV agencies:

  • Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations (AFAO)
  • Rainbow Sky Organisation of Thailand
  • Gay Men's Health Crisis (New York)
  • Terrence Higgins Trust (UK)

Full details of the workshop are available on the AFAO website.
