Pattaya Gay Festival 2004 underway

The newly-elected 2004 Pattaya Gay Festival committee held its first meeting on Thursday 15 January. Details of events and plans for 2004 were announced in their first newsletter for 2004.
The 2004 Committee announced in the newsletter is:

According to the newsletter, the committee decided that its aim this year would be to raise at least 2.4 million Baht to enable it to continue the 200,000 Baht a month donation to the work of Dr. Philippe Seur and HEARTT 2000 with HIV/AIDS patients needing life-saving drug therapy.
For 2004 “Membership” of the Pattaya Gay Festival for Businesses or Individuals is to be a donation of 10,000 baht. All businesses and individual members will receive recognition of their membership either by logo or name on all official PGF advertising and newsletters.
The initial calendar of events for 2004 was also announced, including the opening steet party in Boyztown on 20 February, and the usual "Walk for Life" World AIDS Day Parade on 1 december and the final street party in BoyzTown on 2 December. The full calendar should be available on the PGF web site soon.
Anyone who wishes to receive copies of the PGF newsletter can send an e-mail to pgfnews@hotmail.com and they will be added to the list of recipients. It is hoped that this facility will also help keep anyone who is overseas aware of the dates of up-coming events. This address can also be used to make suggestions to the committee for different events, requests for membership forms, offers of help or donation of raffle prizes etc.
