phuket gears up for gay pride festival

With a new name, new logo and new web site the organisers are busy putting the finishing touches on the plans for next month's gay pride celebration in Patong.
The festival this year will officialy be known as the Phuket Gay Pride Festival. The new logo, designed by local artist Khun Kop from Lim Restaurant in Kalim Bay, "reflects the many cultures that are together here in Phuket" according to the festival committee.
The festival now has an official web site which has full details of the festival schedule and info on how to register for the sporting events.
