As the final event for Bangkok Pride 2002 the Bangkok Pride Coalition held their appreciation party last week to thank the participants and to distribute more than 300,000 baht to charities.
The party, held at Freeman Dance Arena last Thursday, was a great finish for a great festival. The festival committee co-chairmen, Khun Anana and Khun Douglas, who were on stage together for the last time officially, thanked all the sponsors and supporters for their efforts over the last 12 months.
Presentations were also made to the charities that received donations from the festival - Mercy Center and Girl’s Home, Alden House and Hospice of St. Clare. Representitives from all the charities where on hand to receive their cheques.
A new committee will be elected at the annual general meeting next week to guide the festival for 2003, if you are interested in participating be at Pharaoh's Music Bar in Silom Soi 4 on 18 February at 8:00 PM.
