The rainy season has set in with a vengeance, better late then never I suppose, but there is lots going on around town to keep you entertained and out of the rain.
The rainy season has set in with a vengeance, better late then never I suppose, but there is lots going on around town to keep you entertained and out of the rain.
In Bangkok, Silom Soi 4 seems to be the place to be - Balcony has lucky draws if it rains, Pharaoh's has a singing contest every Tuesday night and Sphinx and Telephone are trying to get you in before it rains with their earlybird specials!
The bars in Soi Pratoochai (Soi Twilight) are certainly providing lots of entertainment to keep us out of the rain as well, and definitely make it there for the Bangkok Pride Soi Boi Street Party on 21 August. Bangkok Pride also has lots of events planned for the coming months - see the calendar here and the Bangkok Pride website for full details.
In Pattaya yet another round of crackdowns on under-age sex and drugs - the message is quite clear on that front (and a welcome message too), and despite the re-shuffle of deckchairs on the beach and the varying levels of clothing required on the stages around town, the fun continues much as usual. Helping things along is the ever-expanding calendar of Pattaya Gay Festival events - don't miss the "Mr Pattaya Gay Festival" competition at the Icon Showbar on the 26th, and "Mr Body Beautiful " at Splash/Throb next month - see the calendar here and the Pattaya Gay Festival website and PattayaGay.com for more details.
Down Phuket way, planning is underway for the next Phuket Gay Festival as well, hopefully some more details next month.
Keep those cards and letters coming in.
